7. Who suggested the name to the moon Ganymede?

Answer: Simon Marius

The name was suggested shortly after the dicovery in 1610, but fell into disfavor and wasn't revived until the mid-20th century. Simon Marius was a German astronomer who claimed he discovered the Galilean moons before Galileo. He also claimed he was the first to discover the Andromeda Galaxy.
