The competition took place in Calgary's Penngrowth Saddledome, home of the NHL Calgary Flames.

Answer: Alberta

The players on the champion team were lead Ben Hebert, second Marc Kennedy, third John Morris, and skip Kevin Martin. This was their second consecutive Brier victory.

Answer: Jeff Stoughton

Stoughton was the Brier champion in 1996 and 1999. He also won the World Championships in 1996.
