It was Wayne Middaugh who defeated Glen Howard in the provincial final making his seventh appearance at the big show. They finished a dismal 6-5 record.

There was a definite surprise when people found out Russ Howard wasn't going to be appearing at the 2005 Brier. Wade Blanchard defeated him in the provincial final.
