Answer: Frank Robinson

Robinson did not win two Triple Crowns, but he was selected season MVP twice, once in the National and once in the American League, in 1961 and 1966 respectively. In 1966 he won the Triple. Both Williams and Hornsby have won it twice.
2. Which of the following third baseman has the highest lifetime batting average for a player who played third base most of his career.

Answer: Pie Traynor

Traynor is a member of the Hall of Fame. He batted lifetime an average of .320 which leads all third basemen in the 20th Century. He played from 1920 to 1937 with the Pirates and his season high was .366 in 1930 at the age of 30.
3. Which of the following players was a switch-hitter?

Answer: Tom Tresh

Alou is a right-handed batter, Covington a former Brave and Phillie batted left along with Jim Thome. The switch-hitting Tresh who was a popular Yankee from 1961 to 1969 played in 3 World Series for the Yankees.
4. What pitcher dished up a tenth inning home run to Joe DiMaggio in Game 2 of the 1950 World Series which the Yankees won 2-1?

Roberts of the Phillies dished this one up. The Yankees won the series 4 games to 0. Ironically on the last game of the season for Philadelphia, Dick Sisler hit a tenth inning home run giving Roberts the game win, and clinching the National League pennant for Philadelphia.

Answer: Tom Seaver

All greats listed were multiple 20 game winners but it was Seaver who was 20-10 and 21-12 in 1971 and 1972 with the New York Mets. He won 20 games in a season 5 times in his career. He retired with 311 wins.
