Answer: Los Angeles Angels

The Angels began in 1961 under the watchful eye of manager Bill Rigney. They shared the Dodgers' Chavez Ravine for awhile.
2. Which of the following teams played in the 1951 World Series?

Answer: New York

This was a double-winner with the New York Yankees facing the New York Giants for the World Series. The Yankees won the series 4-2. This was also the season for the rookie Willie Mays to show his stuff. He hit 20 home runs that year. None of the other teams listed existed in 1951.
3. Who was the New York Mets first manager?

Answer: Casey Stengel

Stengel led the team in 1962 to a 40-120 season in their inaugural year. He also led the Mets the next 3 years to again, a last place finish.
4. What player was known as 'Master Melvin' who retired with 511 home runs?

Answer: Mel Ott

Mel Ott hit 511 big ones in his career from 1926 to 1947, all with the New York Giants. After 22 seasons of baseball, this power-hitter still maintained a lifetime .304 batting average.
5. Mark McGwire received the American League Rookie of the Year award in 1987. How many other times during his great career did he receive this award in either the American or National League?

Answer: 0

Although he played for Oakland in 1986, McGwire's first official year where he competed for the Rookie of the Year award was in 1987 where he hit 49 of his 583 career round-trippers after 16 seasons. He won the award that year. The Rookie of the Year award can only be given out to a rookie player.
