Answer: Roger Maris

1961 was the year that the famous asterik in baseball was created. Maris broke the Babe's home run record by hitting 61 big ones in a 162 game season, versus Ruth's 60 in a 154 game season.
2. Which of the following, was the National League Rookie of the Year in 1956, and later won season MVP Awards in both leagues?

Answer: Frank Robinson

Of those listed, only Robinson played baseball in 1956. He won the ROY in 1956 with the Reds of Cincinnati. He also won the NL MVP in 1961, and ironically won it again in 1966 as an Oriole, one year after being traded from Cincinnati.
3. In what season did the Braves of Milwaukee, move to Atlanta?

Answer: 1966

The Braves ended their franchise in Milwaukee in 1965, with a record of 86-76, finishing in 5th place. The following year in Atlanta, the Braves dealt their new fans a 85-77 record.

After the season, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he went 23-13, then 21-11, 23-11 in 1908, and 22-11 in 1909. Sometimes a change of scenery is a remarkable thing.
9. Who was the first team to win consecutive World Series, by blanking their opponents 4 games to 0?

Answer: Yankees

Winning over 100 games in both seasons, they defeated the Pirates and Cardinals. The Yankees won two consecutive in 1927 and 1928 with an All-Star cast. They rostered the likes of Gehrig, Lazzeri, Ruth, Meusel, and Earl Combs.
10. In the 2002 AL Championship Series, the Anaheim Angels defeated what team, to propel them to the World Series?

Answer: Minnesota Twins

They beat the Twins 4 games to 1, two of the games winning by only one run. They then went the World Series to beat the Giants. The other 3 teams listed were in the National League.
