The IFBB was founded in 1946 as the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness and, in 2004, was renamed the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (but retained the "IFBB" abbreviation). An attempt was made to form the WBBA headed by Vince McMahon. It didn't last.
