At a meeting in 1889, it was decided to form a football club in Brentford, and they were originally to be called 'The Brentford Rowing and Football Club', but they later dropped the idea and settled for just Brentford Football Club.
2. When did Brentford move into Griffin Park for their home games?

Answer: 1903

The club began life at Clifden Road between 1888-91, then moved to Benns Fields until 1895, when they played at Shotters Field. After this, they played at Cross Road until 1900 when they moved to Boston Park, and then Griffin Park. They celebrated 100 years there in 2003.

Answer: Will Lewis

Lewis managed the club from 1900-03. Over the years, the club have had some famous names as manager, including former Newcastle United player Malcolm MacDonald (1957-65), Arsenal double-winner, Frank McLintock (1984-87), and former Spurs player Steve Perryman (1987-90).
