Armstrong's the man who doesn't need to be introduced. Riding his 2nd season in the pro peloton, he became the World Champion in 1993. His trademark is therefore the monopoly of winning the Tour de France, which he did numerous times (and were lost years later when he was disqualified). He was born in Plano, Texas, in 1971.

Wadecki is the Polish number one cyclist in 2003. During his pro career he became three time Polish champion 1997 and 2000 (double). He took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000 placed 7th. He also rode well in the major cycling events in the world such as Tour de France, Tour de Suisse (runner up position 2002), Paris- Nice (King of the Maountain Jersey 2001).

3. Where is Andrei Vinokourov from?

Kazakhstan's no.1 cyclist is among the top athletes of the peloton. Riding with Casino (1997-99) and Team Telekom from 2000 the season, he got some spectacular wins. His most valuable trophies are Dauphine-Libere 1999, Deutschland Tour 2001 and Paris-Nice 2002.

His record stands on 32 victories, all of them during his time in Telekom Team. Ullrich had some problems with the doping and has been banned for the whole 2002 season after which he found the new mativation for winning. Let's hope that his best years are yet to come.

9. What is Luciano Pagliarini Mendonca's nationality?

The young rider from Brazil rides in Italian Lampre team. Pagliarini is probably the best known cyclist from the country where football really rules. He recorded only one stage win so far in his career - stage two in Tour de Langkawi 2003.
