1. Ipswich Town played in the inaugural Premier League in the 1992-93 season. Which of these scored their debut goal?

Answer: Gavin Johnson

Johnson scored the first goal of the game in the 34th minute against Aston Villa at Portman Road on 15th August, 1992. With just six minutes left on the clock, Dalian Atkinson grabbed an equaliser for Villa to earn a draw.

2. Middlesbrough took on Coventry City at Highfield Road in their first ever Premiership game. Who scored Boro's first goal?

Answer: Paul Wilkinson

Middlesbrough lost the game on 15th August, 1992, 2-1. John Williams put Coventry in the lead in the 9th minute, and David Smith doubled the lead in the 51st. Wilkinson scored a consolation goal in the 63rd minute in front of 12,681 fans.

3. Chelsea played Oldham Athletic in their first ever Premiership game. Which of these scored their debut goal?

Stamford Bridge was the venue for this game in the first Premier League season of 1992-93. Harford gave Chelsea the lead in the 9th minute, only for Nick Henry to equalise with four minutes left on the clock. Chelsea finished 11th in the Premiership that season, with 56 points from 42 games.

4. Leeds United began the defence of their League crown at home to Wimbledon at Elland Road. Which of these scored their first Premiership goal?

Chapman scored twice in the 2-1 defeat of Wimbledon in the 14th and 86th minutes. Warren Barton scored Wimbledon's only goal with 76 minutes on the clock.

Norwich impressed with a 4-2 victory away from home. After Arsenal had taken a 2-0 lead at half-time through Steve Bould (28) and Kevin Campbell (39), Norwich hit back through Robins (69,84), Phillips (72) and Fox (82).

Brian Deane had given the Blades a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute in front of 33,107 supporters. Walters levelled the score two minutes before the break, then Paul Stewart scored the winner in the 65th.

Another debutant, Brett Emerton fired Rovers 3-0 into the lead before Iversen pulled one back for Wolves. Andy Cole replaced Matt Jansen in the 74th minute then bagged a brace in the 79th and 87th minutes.
