The season actually kicked of in Kuusamo, Finland, on November 24th, 2006. Due to difficult weather conditions, the qualifying round was cancelled twice. The fast blowing wind, made it nearly impossible for the jury to set the speed of the jump. As a result of this, only the first round could be played and the winner of it was Arttu Lappi.
3. What colour did did the season leader wear?

Answer: Red

The season leader wore red in reference to the colour of the main sponsor, E.on Ruhrgas rather than the traditional colour yellow.
4. In which two countries was the four hills tournament held?

Answer: Germany and Austria

The four hills tournament started on December 30th 2006, in Oberstdorf, Germany. It then moved on to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, also in Germany. After, it was held at Innsbruck and Bischofshofen, both in Austria. The overall winner was Anders Jacobsen.

Jan Mazoch took a terrible tumble and suffered a severe concussion whilst jumping in Zakopane, Poland. He was taken to a nearby hospital and put into an artificially induced coma.
