2. What 300-game winner had the exact same number of hits, when he was batting as he had wins while pitching?

Answer: Warren Spahn

No doubt he would have had many many more if not for his tragic untimely death after the 1972 season. Roberto was a Pittsburgh Pirate, and died in a plane during a humanitarian mission to the Carribean.
4. Who retired in 1917 as baseball's career leader in triples?

Answer: Sam Crawford

Speaker had 792 doubles during his career. He played for the Red Sox and Indians during his 22 seasons, and retired in 1928.

Dean was inducted more than 10 years earlier than the others, as he became a member in 1953. Appling was next in 1964, and both Williams and Stengel were inducted in 1966. Dean played for 12 seasons, mostly with the Cardinals, and retired in 1947.
