Answer: False

Smith was the first goalie to be credited with a goal, being the last player on his team to touch it, but the thanks should go to the Colorado Rockies, who actually, accidentally put the puck into their own net.
2. Ron Hextall of the Flyers scored two goals in his career. Who were the teams he scored against?

Answer: The Washington Capitals and Boston Bruins

Hextall was the first goalie to shoot the puck directly into the net. His first was against Boston in 1987, during the regular season. The second came against Washington in the 1989 playoffs.
3. Who was the first goalie to score a powerplay goal?

Answer: Evgeni Nabokov

Evgeni Nabokov of San Jose was the first goalie with a powerplay goal. It came against the Canucks, March 10th of the 2002 season.
