Answer: John Stockton

Stockton was the NBA career leader in assists when he retired. He was the first player with more than 15,000 assists (he retired with 15,806 assists). He played his entire career with the Utah Jazz (1984 to 2003).
2. While he wasn't truly a magician, which player put on a show over the course of his career, notching more than 10,100 assists?

Answer: Magic Johnson

Magic Johnson led the "showtime" Lakers for his entire 13-year career. He retired in 1991 after being diagnosed with HIV, and made a brief comeback in 1996 for a few games after being a coach of the Lakers in 1994. He is the only player in the last 20 years of the 20th century to play in the league after coaching in the league.

He retired as the career assist leader, but was passed by John Stockton before he made his brief return.

Miller lead the NBA in assists in 2002, and had 8,524 for his career when he finally retired in 2016. However he was never an All-Star. He made the all-rookie team in 2000.

Strickland is the only option that actually played in the NBA. He had 7,987 career assists. His career spanned 1988-2005 with nine different teams. He lead the league in assists per game in 1997 as a 31-year-old, but never led the league in another category in his career.
10. Racking up 7,200 career assists, which guard also became the career leader in coaching losses?

Answer: Lenny Wilkens

Wilkens played from 1960-75 racking up 7,211 assists. He coached off and on from 1969-2005, racking up 1,155 losses and 1,332 wins. He coached the 1979 NBA champion Seattle SuperSonics team.
