The first Netball World Championships was contested by 11 teams when Australia beat New Zealand 37-36 in the title decider, with hosts England coming in third.

Answer: Play continues until a team has a two-goal advantage

After extra time ends and scores are still tied, time is signaled (with no stoppage or change of goal ends) and play is continuous until a team has a two-goal advantage. Only in the World Netball Innovation Series Finals if teams are tied, does a penalty shootout take place.
