The club also moved into Anfield in this year and made it their home ground.

Answer: John McKenna

McKenna became Liverpool's first manager in 1892, and stayed until 1896, when he was succeeded by Watson (1896-1915), followed by Ashworth (1920-22), and McQueen was manager between 1923-28. The club have had an illustrious list of famous managers in their history, including Bob Paisley, Bill Shankly, Kenny Dalglish and Graeme Souness.

Answer: 1893-94

Liverpool were elected into Division Two this season, and won the division by not losing a game all season. The club won all 14 home games, and won 8 and drew the rest away from home. They won the Division Two title with 50 points, 8 ahead of second placed Small Heath (later to become Birmingham City).

The 1965 final saw Liverpool beat Leeds United 2-1 after extra time. They won the cup 4 more times in the 20th century. In 1974, they beat Newcastle United 3-0, followed by a 3-1 victory over Everton after extra time in 1986, three years later came a 3-2 victory again after extra time, and again against Everton, and in 1992, Sunderland were the losing finalists, going down 2-0.

Liverpool won the 1977 cup with a 3-1 victory. The goals came from Terry McDermott, Tommy Smith and Phil Neal. They also beat the others listed in European Cup finals in the 20th century. FC Bruges were the losing finalists in 1978 with a single goal by Kenny Dalglish. Alan Kennedy gave Liverpool a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in 1981, and in 1984, they drew 1-1 with AS Roma thanks to a Phil Neal goal, and won the game 4-2 on penalties.

Callaghan played 640 games for Liverpool between 1960-78.
9. Where did the club sign Pegguy Arphexad from in 2000?

Answer: Leicester City

Frenchman Arphexad began his career at Lille in 1990, before signing for Lens after one season. In 1997, Leicester signed him, where he played for three years until signing for Liverpool. He went on-loan to Stockport in 2001 for one month before returning to Anfield.
