In 1947, Jackie Robinson became the first African-American player to play Major League baseball. He was signed by the Dodgers and was Rookie of the Year. In 1949, he was the National League MVP.
2. He played for the Yankees under the nickname "Lousiana Lightning". In 2003, the Yankees retired his number 49. Who was he?

Guidry was a four time AL all-star. Guidry is most well known for having one of the most amazing single seasons ever in 1978. He went 25-3 with a 1.74 ERA.
