Coach Alex Hannum's 76ers won the franchise's second championship. They beat the Warriors 4-2 in the series. There was a ton of Hall of Fame talent on the floor for the whole series. The warriors had Rick Barry and Nate Thurmond, along with coach Bill Sharman.
The 76ers had Wilt Chamberlain, Billy Cunningham, Hal Greer, Chet Walker and Hannum coaching. There was also Mendy Rudolph and Earl Strom officiating. All of them ended up in the Hall of Fame.
