Answer: Crowe took the first two Australian wickets to fall

Hardly an auspicious start to his career. Only on the fifth and final day was a full day's play was possible. Crowe bowled four overs without taking a wicket.

New Zealand were 244 behind on the first innings, and were 2/79 when Crowe came out to bat in the second innings. So Crowe's century, together with Jeremy Coney's maiden ton, were match-saving innings. New Zealand finally made 537 in the second innings and the match was drawn.
