3. Who won the most assist titles in the 1970s?

Porter was the only player to have multiple assist titles in the 1970s. He won three in 1974-75, 1977-78, and 1978-79. The others each won one. Wilkens in 1969-70, Watts in 1975-76, and Archibald in 1972-73.
4. The most rebound titles in the decade was won by who?

Answer: Wilt Chamberlain

Though not the scoring force he was early in his career, Chamberlain still knew how to use his big body and won three rebounding titles in the '70s. Three straight in 1970-71, 1971-72, and 1972-73. Hayes won two in 1969-70 and 1973-74. Abdul-Jabbar won one in 1975-76. Unseld won one in 1974-75.
5. Blocked shots began being kept track of as an official statistic in 1973-74. Who had the highest blocked shot per game average, in a season, in the 1970s with 4.85?

Answer: Elmore Smith

Smith did this in that first season of 1973-74. That was his only season leading the league in blocks per game. Kareem led the league three times with the highest average from those seasons being 4.12 in 1975-76. Walton led once in 1976-77 with 3.25. Johnson led once in 1977-78 with 3.38.
6. In the 1970s, only two players led the league in both scoring and assists in a season. Who were they?

Answer: Jerry West and Nate Archibald

Nate Archibald had the famous season of leading the league in assists and scoring at once in 1972-73 (didn't win MVP, Dave Cowens did), but a lesser known achievement is that in 1969-70 Jerry West led the league in scoring and then, two seasons later, led the league in assists in 1971-72. "Tiny" Archibald averaged 34 PPG and 11.4 APG. West averaged 31.2 PPG in 1969-70, and 9.7 APG in 1971-72. Maravich led the league in scoring once but never in assists. Rick Barry never led the league in either category.
7. Two teams won two championships each in the 1970s. Who were they?

Answer: Knicks and Celtics

The Knicks won theirs in 1969-70 and 1972-73, while the Celtics won theirs in 1973-74 and 1975-76. The Lakers won one championship in the 1970s, in 1971-72 (the 69-win team). The Sonics also got one in 1978-79, and the Bucks won in 1970-71.
8. In the 1978 Finals, a player went 0-for-14 in a game 7 loss, then came back the next year to win Finals MVP and the championship. Who was he?

Answer: Dennis Johnson

Both years matched up the Washington Bullets against the Seattle Supersonics. Unseld won the Finals MVP in 1978 while Hayes played on the Bullets with him. Wilkens coached the 1978-79 Sonics.
9. In an attempt to win the 1977-78 scoring championship against George Gervin, David Thompson of the Denver Nuggets poured in 73 points in the last game of the season. Who was second on the team in scoring that game?

Answer: Dan Issel

Issel scored 14 points. Ellis scored 5, Roberts scored 12, and Simpson scored 9. The plan worked for Thompson until, later that night, Gervin scored 63 points to finish 0.12 points per game ahead of Thompson.
10. A player had one season in the 1970s where he led the league in scoring (34.5), total points (2,831), total rebounds (1,155) and minutes played, while also averaging 14.1 RPG, 51.2% from the field, and 2.12 blocked shots per game. Who was he?
