1. Which of these teams set an NFL single season record for fewest points allowed per regular season game.

Answer: 1942 Chicago Bears

The Bears gave up only 84 points in 11 regular season games in 1942, for an average of 7.6 points per game. They finished the season 11-0, but lost the NFL Championship to the Washington Redskins 14-6. Believe it or not, the 1977 Falcons gave up only 9.2 points per game, but didn't even make the playoffs.

The 1969 Vikings allowed 9.5 points per game. The 1976 Steelers had an incredible season starting 1-4, then winning the last 9 games to go 10-4. Over those last 9 games they allowed an unbelievably low 28 points.

They allowed 9.9 points per game for the whole year.
2. Which of these players recovered more fumbles than anyone, during the 20th century?

Answer: Warren Moon

Moon recovered 55 fumbles during his career. All of them were fumbled by either himself or one of his teammates. Marshall had the most recoveries of opponents fumbles, with 29.
3. In addition to the 1966 Dallas Cowboys, which other team scored 50+ points three times in the same season?

Answer: 1969 Minnesota Vikings

In 1969, the Vikings beat both the Colts and the Steelers by the score of 52-14, and they beat the Browns 51-3.
4. Who was the only Indianapolis Colt besides Edgerrin James, to lead the NFL in rushing yardage during the 20th century?

Answer: Eric Dickerson

Dickerson led the NFL in 1988 with 1,659 yards. James led the league as a rookie in 1999 with 1,553 yards. Alan Ameche was the only Baltimore Colt to lead the league, as he ran for 961 yards in his rookie year of 1955.

Answer: Arizona Cardinals

Ryan coached the Eagles from 1986-1990, and the Cardinals from 1994-1995. His won/loss record with the Eagles was 43-38-1. He went 12-20-0 with the Cardinals. Ryan was defensive coordinator for the Bears and Oilers.
7. How many losing seasons did the Washington Redskins have during Joe Gibbs' first stint as head coach?

Answer: 1

The Redskins went 7-9 in 1988, the only losing season they had when Gibbs coached from 1981-1992. Over those years, the team compiled a very impressive 16-5 post-season record.
8. How many Super Bowls were won by AFL teams?

Answer: 2

An AFL team won Super Bowls III and IV, as the Jets beat the Colts 16-7, and the following year the Chiefs beat the Vikings 23-7.

Landry's Cowboys won Super Bowl VI 24-3 over the Miami Dolphins, and Super Bowl XII, 27-10 over the Denver Broncos. They lost to the Baltimore Colts 16-13 in Super Bowl V. The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cowboys twice during the 70s in the Super Bowl, 21-17 in Super Bowl X and 35-31 in Super Bowl XIII.

Answer: Barry Foster

Foster led the AFC in 1992 by rushing for 1,690 yards. He fell just 23 yards short of Emmitt Smith's NFL leading 1,713 yards.

Earnest Jackson is not exactly a household name, but he rushed for over 1,000 yards in a season for both the Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles. He led the AFC in rushing in 1984 with 1,179 yards. He came nowhere near leading the NFL however, as 1984 was the year Eric Dickerson of the Rams compiled his NFL record 2,105 yards.

Seahawks rookie running back Curt Warner led the AFC in rushing in 1983 with 1,449 yards. He led the AFC again in 1986 with 1,481 yards. He was no relation to Rams QB Kurt Warner.

Answer: Larry Brown

Brown led all NFL rushers that year for the Washington Redskins with 1,125 yards. Little was the AFC leader with 901 yards, and he led the entire NFL the next season with 1,133. Brockington led the NFC in 1971 and 1973. O.J. Simpson did not lead the league until 1972, edging out Brown in yardage 1251-1216.

Marino threw an NFL record 48 TD passes in 1984. He threw 44 TD's in 1986. Warner threw 41 TD's in 1999. Peyton Manning also did it later.

Answer: Sammy White

White led the NFC in receiving yardage in 1976 with 906 yards. Ahmad Rashad was a rookie in 1972 with the St. Louis Cardinals. Anthony Carter was a Vikings rookie in 1985, but did not lead the league. Randy Moss amassed 1,313 yards receiving as a rookie in 1998, but finished second to the Packers' Antonio Freeman.
