Answer: Portsmouth Spartans

The game was scoreless till Bronko Nagurski threw a two-yard TD pass to Red Grange. Portsmouth disputed the TD. The rule at the time said that the pass had to be thrown from at least five yards from the line of scrimmage. The Spartans said that Nagurski was closer than five yards, but the officials disagreed and the play stood.

The Spartans would move the following season to Detroit to become the Lions.
2. In the 1933 NFL title game, the Chicago Bears defeated the New York Giants 23-21, when the Bears completed a pass and lateral late in the fourth quarter. Which of the following players was not involved in the winning play?
