The Oakland Intimidators was a name that was given consideration, named after the type of paintball gun the team uses.

Answer: Dynasty

Team Dynasty playing out of the San Diego area, has won several tournaments including the 2002 NPPL, WPS and Millennium Series titles. Dynasty also won the 2003 Millennium and NPPL series titles. Seemingly for contract reasons, Dynasty chose not to participate in the NXL.

Answer: Baltimore

Baltimore Trauma had a decent first year in pro paintball going toe to toe with the best in the world for the first time. Generation E decided to set Trauma up with a marker sponsorship, giving the team, the high speed Matrix.

Both the Philly Americans and the Oakland Assassins had amazing regular seasons, taking first place in their respective conferences. It wasn't until the World Cup at Disney's Sport Complex that Philadelphia was able to defeat Oakland for the championship.

There were 8 teams total, 4 west coast and then 4 east coast teams. Oakland, Los Angles, Detroit, and Chicago, made up the West. Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore, and Miami, made up the eastern conference.

The Lasoya Intimidator is an upgraded version of the standard 2002 Intimidator, built by B.L.A.S.T and distributed by National Paintball Supply. The gun was redesigned to reduce overall weight and comfort, making it all around a much easier marker to play with.
8. What city was the team called the Ironmen franchised from?

Answer: Los Angeles

The LA Ironmen simply carried their name over from the previous years 10 and 7-Man competition. Sponsored by high end manufacturer DYE Precision, this team seemed to struggle with the X-Ball format for most the season.
9. What was Chicago's NXL franchise called?

Answer: Aftershock

Chicago Aftershock was sponsored by DYE Precision and was made up of some of the most experienced players in paintball.

For years, the paintball season has been wrapped up in Orlando Florida. 2003 was the first time a paintball event was held on Disney's Sport Complex property.
