A fine all-around cowboy, he was runner up for the PRCA world all around title in 1969 and second runner-up to the saddle bronc riding world title in 1975.

From Austin, Texas, Bobby Steiner was the 1973 PRCA World Champion Bull Rider, with Don Gay being runner-up. After winning the world title, Bobby went to work full time in his fathers' Steiner Rodeo Company. Several outstanding animals have worn the X-S brand of the Steiner Rodeo Ranch including PRCA Bucking Bull of the Year, Black Six, Red Lightning, and Savage Seven. Bobby's son Sid was world champion steer wrestler in 2002 and his other son Tommy Shane is a popular country music recording artist.

In 1970, Jerome Robinson qualified for his first of what would be 11 trips to the National Finals Rodeo in the bull riding event. While competing in PRCA bull riding, he served his peers as the associations bull riding director. In addition to his PBR duties, Robinson also owned and operated Western Trails Rodeo Company based in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Born and raised in the Bronx, DelVecchio got interested in rodeo working in horse riding stables, and began his rodeo career at the famous Cowtown Rodeo in New Jersey. Qualifying to the NFR in the bull riding 1980 thru 1985, Bobby was the runner-up to the PRCA World title in '81 and '82. Also a capable steer wrestler, Bobby's cowboy talents gave him a spot in the PRCA top 15 all- around standings in 1982.

Tough as nails, Sandy Kirby went to the PRCA National Finals Rodeo 9 times in the bull riding, qualified 5 times in the bareback riding, and won NFR average titles in both events. Brother Kaye Kirby was a world class roughstock cowboy who won regional PRCA championships in the bull riding, saddle bronc, and all-around, as well as qualifying to the NFR in the bareback riding before his untimely death in 1977.

Answer: Denny Flynn, Charleston Arkansas

Denny scored 98 points on Steiner Rodeo Company's Red Lightning, the '78 PRCA Bucking Bull of the Year at Palestine Illinois in 1979. The Arkansas native qualified for the National Finals Rodeo in the bull riding 10 times. He was runner-up to the PRCA world title in '76, '78, and '80, as well as second runner-up for the bull riding crown in '77, '79, and '81. Denny also set another record in his bull riding career by winning the NFR Bull Riding average 3 times in the years '75, '81, and '82.

Oscar went unridden for the first 5 years of his bucking career until John Davis snapped his streak in 1975. Davis qualified for the NFR in the bull riding 7 times and was runner-up to his traveling partner Don Gay for the PRCA Bull Riding Championship in 1974, as well as second runner-up in 1976. In the later 1970s, Davis was elected to the PRCA Board as bull riding director.

From Creswell, Oregon, former champ John Quintana is another tough bull rider that you may never hear of. Bull rides in the 90-point range were rare in the early 70's, but in 1972 Quintana rode the infamous V61 of the Billy Minick Rodeo Company for 92 points at Gladwater, Texas. One year later, Quintana set the world record for the highest marked bull ride when he scored 96 points on #17 of the Beutler Bros., and Cervi Rodeo Co. at Las Vegas. And if you recall the infamous rodeo bull Tornado, you might be interested to know that John Quintana was the last person to ride the mighty bull when he was retired.
