1. Aussie Rules Football is mostly played in Australia, but it is growing around the world. What is it played on?

Answer: field

Australian football, or AFL, is played on a football field. Australian Rules is most popular around Australia, but is also played in countries such as New Zealand, Papa New Guinea, and South Africa. AFL has many records, such as the oldest sporting team in the world (Melbourne Demons) and the longest time wearing the same shirt (Essendon Bombers).

It was invented by Tom Wills to keep cricketers fit during winter.
2. Cricket is played in many countries, but what is it played on?

Answer: pitch

Cricket is played on a cricket pitch. It is most popular in Australia, England, South Africa, India, Sri Lanka, Pakastan, and the West Indies. It is also played in Ireland, Scotland, Bangladesh, Zambia, and the USA. One of the worlds best cricketers was the Australian batsman Sir Donald Bradman, who had an incredable batting average of 99.94.

The most popular cricket term is "out for a duck" which means out for no runs.

Motorsport includes car racing, motorbiking and motorcross, and BMX. It is played on a race track. BMX was introduced into the Olympics in 2008 in Beijing and sent the BMX world on fire. The winner of the Gold Medal in that year for the men was Maris Strombergs from Latvia, and for the women it was Anne-Caroline Chausson from France.

Baseball is a popular sport, but is especially popular in America. There are 9 members on each team and the aim is to get as many runs as possible. Baseball has been in the Olympics since 1992, in which Cuba won the gold medal.

Each team has six players. All you have to do is hit a ball over a net to your opponents and try to get the ball to hit the ground on their side. This will earn your team points. It has been in the Olympics since 1964, where the Soviet Union won the men's and Japan won the women's events.

In the UK, soccer is played on a pitch. Soccer has been around since the mid-19th century and is played on a pitch. You are allowed 11 per side and it has been in the Olympics since 1900. In the first soccer game at the Olympics for the men, Great Britain won the gold, while for the women in 1996, the USA won the gold.
