Answer: 1882

Although formed in 1882, it wasn't until almost 40 years later when they finally entered the Football League. In the inaugural Premier League season of 1992-93, QPR were the highest-placed London team, finishing fifth.
2. Where did the club first play their home games?

Answer: Kensal Rise Athletic Ground

Kensal Rise Athletic Ground was used by QPR between 1897-1901. Latimer Road was their home until 1904, when they moved to Park Royal until 1917. Loftus Road and White City were used twice each by QPR up until 1962, when they made Loftus Road their permanent home.
3. Who was the club's first manager in their history?

Answer: James Cowan

Cowan was QPR's manager between 1906-13, Howie between 1913-20, Liddell was 1920-24, and Wood lasted just one season. Other QPR managers over the years have included Terry Venables, Trevor Francis, Ray Wilkins, and Ian Holloway.
4. Where did Queens Park Rangers sign Paul Furlong from in 2002?

Answer: Birmingham City

Furlong, a striker, began his career with non-League Enfield in 1990, before Coventry snapped him up a year later. After four goals in 37 games for the club he signed with Watford, where he stayed until 1994. After a further two seasons with Chelsea, Furlong signed for Birmingham and played 130 League games, scoring 50 goals between 1996-2002. Furlong then had two loan-spells with QPR, and one with Sheffield United, before signing for Rangers in September, 2002.
5. Queens Park Rangers have had numerous legends play for them over the years. Which of these did not play for England?

Answer: Alan McDonald

McDonald was a Northern Ireland international, who spent most of his career at Loftus Road. Seaman played 75 times in goal for England, and spent 1986-90 at Queens Park Rangers. Parker spent 1987-91 at the club before joining Manchester United and played 19 times for England. Wilkins played 84 times for his country.
6. In the 1920-21 season, QPR first entered the Football League. In which position did they finish?

Answer: Third

Queens Park Rangers played in the old Third Division in the 1920-21 season, and finished six points behind champions, Crystal Palace, with Southampton finishing in second place.
7. Queens Park Rangers won the League Cup in 1967. Who did they play in the final?

Answer: West Bromwich Albion

QPR beat Colchester United, Aldershot, Swansea Town, Leicester City, Carlisle United, and Birmingham City on their way to the Wembley final. On 4 March, 1967, they beat West Brom, the then holders of the cup, 3-2 in the final.
8. Queens Park Rangers became the first club in England to install an artificial pitch.

Answer: True

QPR installed the pitch in the 1980s, and soon after teams like Oldham Athletic and Luton Town did the same. The craze never fully took over though, and the pitch was ripped up after only a few seasons.
9. Which of these played the most League games for the club?

Answer: Tony Ingham

Ingham made an incredible 519 League appearances for QPR between 1950-63. 'Sir Les' played 163 League games, while Clive Allen pulled on a QPR shirt 136 times in the League. Ray 'Butch' Wilkins played 176 times in the League for the club.

Answer: Leeds United

Leeds, champions in 1991-92, succumbed to two Danny Dichio goals, and one from Trevor Sinclair. David Wetherall was on target for Leeds on that day. QPR were relegated along with Manchester City and Bolton Wanderers.
