Joe Pepitone spent the first several years of his career as a member of the New York Yankees (1962-1969), before eventually ending his career in 1973, jumping from the Astros, the Cubs, and then the Braves. He spent a majority of his time playing first base and in center field.
3. What did NFL Coach Buddy Ryan say when he saw a streaker race across the football field?

Answer: "I didn't see that he had anything to be proud of."

Ryan spent 27 seasons as a coach, mostly an assistant, in the NFL. He was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1986-1990.
4. Finish this Milton Berle quote: 'Waiting for the Rams to win the Super Bowl is like leaving the porch light on for _____________ '

Milton Berle was a comedian and an actor for most of his life, beginning as a child in 1913 and finally retiring in the year 2000.
5. What did Houston Oilers Coach Bum Phillips say was the reason he took his wife with him on the road?

Answer: "She's too ugly to kiss goodbye"

Phillips, who had spent most of his career as a college assistant coach, spent 1975-1980 as Houston's head coach before he took the same job with the New Orleans Saints until 1985 when he resigned mid-season.
6. Which NFL athlete famously told the post conference press that he was 'feeling dangerous' before a November 2018 game against the Atlanta Falcons?

Answer: Baker Mayfield

Baker Mayfield backed up his words with his quarterback play in this one, throwing three touchdowns with no turnovers in what was a fairly laid back 28-16 victory over the visiting Falcons.
7. What's the Reggie Jackson quote when he refers to fans?

Answer: "Fans don't boo nobodies."

Reggie Jackson spent 21 years in the MLB (1967-1987) and earned the nickname "Mr October" for his clutch postseason hitting. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993.
8. Who said: 'If someone says it's not feminine, I say screw it.'?

Answer: Rosemary Casals

Also known as 'Rosie', Casals won more than 90 different tennis titles during the 1960s and 70s. She won nearly six hundred singles sets during this time, as well as a little more than five hundred in doubles.
9. Fill in the blank from this memorable George Rogers quote: "I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, _____________________."

Answer: whichever comes first

Rogers ran for 1,674 yards his rookie year, 1981, with the New Orleans Saints. He also ran for 1,500 and 1,000 yards that season.
10. Who said this about football: 'This is a game for madmen'?

Answer: Vince Lombardi

Lombardi is regarded as one of the greatest NFL coaches of all time. This is mainly as a result of his well known career with the Green Bay Packers, where he won five NFL championships over the course of seven years in the 1960s, in addition to the first two Super Bowls in NFL history in 1966 and 1967. With a career winning percentage slightly over 73%, its fair to say that perhaps Lombardi was one of the maddest of madmen in his view.
