Answer: Wade Boggs

Wade Boggs was one of the best third basemen in Boston Red Sox history. He won a World Series playing for the New York Yankees. He finished his career as a Tampa Bay Devil Ray, who retired his number 12 jersey. Boggs' career lasted from 1982 to 1999, and he racked up 3010 hits along the way.

His lifetime .328 batting average and two Gold Gloves helped ensure his selection to the Hall of Fame in 2005.
2. Which catcher, who ended his career wearing different colored socks, is best remembered for a dramatic home run in which Red Sox fans simply referred to as "Game 6"?

Answer: Carlton Fisk

Carlton Fisk played for the Red Sox from 1969-1980, and the Chicago White Sox from 1981-1993. In the bottom of the 12th inning in game 6 of the 1975 World Series, he hit a walk-off home run to ensure a game 7. Though they would go on to lose game 7 and the World Series to Cincinnati's "Big Red Machine", Fisk jumping and waving his arms to keep the ball fair is arguably the most memorable moment in Red Sox history. Fisk retired with a total of 376 home runs and was elected into the Hall of Fame in 2000.

He had a couple solid years there before hitting some hard times and found himself traded to the Cubs in 1984. Eck turned things around when he landed in Oakland in 1987.

He transformed into an intimidating closer. In 1992, he won the Cy Young and AL MVP after pitching a 7-1 record with 51 saves. Eckersley bounced to a couple more teams before he retired, but finished with impressive career numbers of 197 wins and 390 saves.

6. Which legendary Red Sox left fielder hit a home run in his last career at-bat?

Answer: Ted Williams

Ted Williams finished his career with a total of 521 round-trippers.
