1. What was the name of a famous Rugby ground in Dublin?

Answer: Lansdowne Road

This ground was the site of many a famous game in Irish Rugby history, none more so than the 10-all draw with New Zealand in January 1973. It was demolished in 2007.

2. If I were at the 'cabbage patch', where would I be?

Answer: Twickenham

Twickenham is the 'home' of rugby. I have seen the games in 1999 v France in that fateful day when France bounced back to beat New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup semi final, and in 2002 v England.
So as I have an 0 from 2 record there, I have imposed a ban on myself from attending any further All Black games there!

In 2000 a new world record crowd of 109,874 saw arguably one of the greatest rugby games of all time at Homebush Stadium (the Sydney Olympic Stadium). After the first 9 minutes the score was 0-24, with the All Blacks rampant. By half time it was 24-24, and the second half was a huge battle with the Aussies ahead by one point with 2 minutes to go. Lomu scored the winning try with a minute to left, following a well executed move, and a lovely last minute pass from Taine Randall, taking the final score to 35-39.

Carisbrook, Dunedin, affectionately known as the 'House of Pain', it is a graveyard for visiting sides, international or provincial, with Australia only picking up their first ever victory there in 2001!

Home to the 'Hurricanes', Westpac Trust Stadium is becoming more commonly known as the 'caketin' (to outsiders more so than locals, who refer to it by it's correct name), because of the way it looks.

River Plate Stadium has been known to be a tough place to visit. Just ask the All Blacks who just scraped past the 'Pumas' in 2001, or the French who lost there in 2002 and the Wallabies who barely left unscathed in 2002!

Ra'ananna, surprisingly enough is in Israel, Papetee is in Tahiti, and Apia is the home of Samoan Rugby! Nuku A'lofa, has been the scene of many close fought battles between Tonga and it's Pacific Island neighbours, with the touring French finding in 1999 that travelling to a tropical island for rugby is more than a holiday, only just scraping through winners 16-20.

10. If you were watching a match at Porto, what country would you be in?

Answer: Portugal
