The 1981 Heisman Trophy winner, Marcus Allen, began his career with the Raiders. He was the Superbowl XVIII MVP in 1984 in the Raider victory over the Redskins.

Of the alternatives, Earl Campbell played for the Oilers and the Saints, Eric Dickerson was a Raider but also played for the Rams, Colts and Falcons, and Franco Harris was a Steeler and Seahawk.

Howie Long played Defensive End for the Raiders from 1981 until 1993. An 8-time Pro Bowl selection, he ended his career with 91.5 sacks in 179 games. His son, Chris, played DE for the University of Virginia before being drafted by the Rams.

8-time Pro-Bowler Art Shell played OT for the Raiders from 1968 until 1982. He was a member of the Raider teams at Superbowls XI and XV. He returned as a coach in 1983 and took over as Head Coach in 1989. He was also elected to the Hall of Fame in 1989. Shell left the Raiders in 1994 but returned for a single season as Head Coach in 2006.

Answer: George Blanda

Nicknamed 'The Grand Old Man', George Blanda played for the Bears, Colts and Oilers before joining the Raiders in 1967. He is the only player in NFL history to play in as many as 26 seasons and is the oldest person to play an NFL game (48 years, 109 days).

At the end of his career in 1975, his 2,002 points were the most scored by any player ever. At the time of his death in 2010, he still held the record for the most extra points kicked (943 from 959 attempts). Brett Favre broke Blanda's record for most interceptions thrown (277) in 2007.

Answer: Jim Otto

Jim Otto (number 00) played in the middle of the Raiders O-Line from 1960 until 1974 without missing a single game. He was a member of the Raider team that lost to the Packers in Superbowl II.

Of the alternatives, Mike Webster was a Pittsburgh Steeler and ended his career with the Chiefs, Jim Langer was a long-time Miami Dolphin who ended his career with the Vikings, and Dermontti Dawson was a career Steeler.

Wide Receiver Fred Biletnikoff played for the Raiders from 1965 until 1978. He was also a Raider coach from 1989 until 2006. He ended his career with 8.974 receiving yards and 76 TDs, remarkable considering that he played in an era when football was primarily a running game.

Of the alternatives, Cornerback Willie Brown was certainly a contender for the Superbowl XI MVP honors, having scored a TD on a 75-yard interception.

John Madden became the Raider Head Coach at just 32 years old in 1969. His career regular-season record of 103-32-7 gives him the highest winning percentage (.759) is the highest ever amongst coaches with 100+ victories. After leaving the Raiders in 1978, Madden became the voice of Monday Night Football, famously traveling the country in the 'Madden Bus'. Curiously, Madden's wife, Virginia, holds a private pilot's license.

A handful of players who played Guard but also played in other positions (mostly two-way performers from the Pre-Modern era) preceded Gene Upshaw into the Hall of Fame, but he was the first player elected (in 1987) who had played only in the Guard position. Drafted out of Notre Dame, Dave Casper played for the Raiders from 1974 until 1980 before going to the Oilers and Vikings. He returned to the Raiders in 1984 for the final year of a career in which he caught 52 TDs and had 5,216 receiving yards. He caught the first TD of the Raiders victory over the Vikings in Superbowl XI.

After six seasons in New England, Mick Haynes played for the Raider from 1983 until 1989. He recorded an interception in the Superbowl XVIII victory and set a team record with a 97-yard INT returned for a TD against Miami in 1984.
