Answer: Gloria Estefan

Gloria Estefan first performed in 1992 with a "Winter Magic" theme with Olympic Figure skaters Brian Boitano and Dorothy Hamill. She appeared again in 1999 in a, "Celebration of Soul, Salsa, and Swing", with Stevie Wonder, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and Savion Glover. James Brown only performed in 1997, and Phil Collins in 2000.

Answer: Michael Jackson

In 1993, it was the first Super Bowl halftime show that featured only one star performer, Michael Jackson. There were 3500 local Los Angeles children present at the stage as he sang, however, they were not a direct part of the act. Diana Ross was the first female performer to headline a Super Bowl halftime show in 1996. Both Sting in 2003 and Toni Braxton in 2000 had other acts with them.
