Answer: Paul Owens

Corrales had been fired by then GM, Paul Owens in July in spite of the fact that the Phils were in first at the time.
3. What teams did the Orioles and Phillies face in their respective LCSs?

Answer: Chicago / Los Angeles

The Birds allowed the ChiSox just 3 runs in four games while Steve Carlton handled the Dodgers, winning both of his starts.
