Answer: They all commided suicide

Kid McCoy died of an overdose of sleeping pills in 1940. Billy Papke tragically shot and killed his wife, then committed suicide by turning the gun on himself in 1936. In 1965, Freddie Mills was found shot in the head in London and the police ruled it a suicide. Randy Turpin committed suicide by gunshot in 1966.
3. Which of these middleweight champions had the highest knockout percentage?

Answer: Marvin Hagler

Marvin Hagler had a .788 % KO percentage. Stanley Ketchel had a .766 % KO percentage. Sugar Ray Robinson had a .540 % KO percentage. Carlos Monzon had a .590 % KO percentage.

The KO by Cassius Clay was one of Clay's earliest predictions. Clay predicted he would KO Clark in the 2nd round and he did just that. Clark died November 5, 2006, and held the consecutive KO record at the time of his death.

Legend has it that before this fight took place, Sugar Ray dreamed that he would kill Jimmy in the ring during this fight. He didn't want to go forward with the fight but he was talked into it. Jimmy's death was ruled as a separation of a brain membrane caused when the fighter's head hit the ring floor.

Answer: Sonny Liston vs Floyd Patterson II

Liston vs Patterson II was very much like Liston vs Patterson I. Liston knocked out Patterson with only seconds left in the 1st round. Liston went on to lose his title to Cassius Clay (By KO) in his very next defense.
7. Who was the last heavyweight champion born in the 1800s?

Answer: Gene Tunney

Gene, born in 1897 won the World Heavyweight Championship in 1926 from the "Manassa Mauler", Jack Dempsey. He defended it against Jack Dempsey in 1927, and defended it one more time against Tom Heeney in 1928 in a fight that he won by 11th via TKO. Gene retired after that fight.

Answer: Ezzard Charles vs Jersey Joe Walcott IV

Walcott won by unanamous decision. Zack also refereed the Ali vs Foreman championship fight in Zaire.

Answer: Pete Rademacher

Pete Rademacher won the gold medal in the 1956 Olympics. He made his professional debut against Floyd Patterson (The reigning Heavyweight Champion) August 22, 1957. He was knocked down six times. Floyd Patterson was knocked down in the 2nd round. Pete lost by in a 6th round KO.

Answer: Jack Johnson vs Battling Jim Johnson
