1. Michigan-Ohio State is without a doubt one of the biggest rivalries in all of football. How many wins did the Wolverines have until they lost their first game to the Buckeyes?

Answer: 13

The first Michigan-Ohio State game was in 1897, and it wasn't until 1919 that the Buckeyes got their first win. The game was not played in 1898 or '99 nor from 1913-17. Also there were two ties, 1900 and 1910.
2. In the 2005 seasons, the battle for the 'Little Brown Jug' between Michigan and Minnesota was the oldest trophy game in division 1-A.

Answer: True

The battle for the 'Little Brown Jug' commenced in 1909 as a way for Michigan to win back the water jug they misplaced in 1903. The second oldest trophy games all commenced in 1925, the Illibuck (Illinois-Ohio State), the Old Oaken Bucket (Indiana-Purdue) and the Beer Barrel (Kentucky-Tennessee).
3. Which one of the following standout players at Michigan did not receive back-to-back consensus All-American honors?

Answer: Charles Woodson

Woodson's only consensus All-American season came in his senior year of 1997. Harmon received it in 1939 and 1940, Carter in 1981 and 1982, then Welborne in 1989 and 1990.

The U of M was founded in 1817 in Detroit, MI, on land ceded by local Indian tribes. Ann Arbor wasn't established as a city until 1824. A new campus was constructed at Ann Arbor in 1837 and the U of M moved in permanently. One of the original faculty houses built still remained in use as the 2005 University President's house.
