Answer: Hawthorn Hawks

Hawthorn had 35, Carlton 21, Essendon 18 and Collingwood 14.
2. Which player made the most VFL Teams of the Year between 1982 and 1990?

Answer: Simon Madden

Simon Madden from Essendon played 376 games, and made the team on 6 occassions. Healy 5, Dacos 5 and Platten surprisingly only 4 times.
3. How many players from the Hawthron premiership side of 1986 made the VFL Team of the Year?

Answer: 6

Gary Ayres, Robert DiPierdomenico (who shared the Brownlow medal with Greg Williams in 1986 as well), Gary Buckenara, Greg Dear, John Platten and Dermott Brereton.

Dale form Richmond made the team three times (1986-8), Dermott (1986,1988) and Tony (1984,1990) twice and Warwick Capper never made the VFL Team of the Year.

Brain Wilson won the Brownlow in 1982 and was named in the VFL Team of the Year whil playing for Melbourne Demons. He also played for Footscray Bulldogs, North Melbourne Kangaroos and St Kilda Saints in a colourful career.

Greg Williams made the side 4 times for Sydney Swans tying Robert DiPierdomenico for the Brownlow in 1986, and then made the AFL All Australian side twice in the 1990s while playing for Carlton Blues, as well as winning the Norm Smith medal in 1995. Gerard Healy made the VFL Team of the Year 5 times (but only three of those was while polaying for Sydney Swans, the other two for Melbourne Demons). Dennis Carrol made the side only once and Warwick Capper never made the side (even though he kicked 103 goals in 1987).

Each team had three - Collingwood had Tony Shaw and D. Banks. Essendon had L. Baker, Terry Daniher, and Simon Madden. Hawthornhad had Chris Mew, Robert Dipierdomenico, and Russel Greene.

Answer: St Kilda Saints

The Saints only had 5 reprenstatives in this time (the West Coast Eagles had the same number and were only in the competition from 1987). Richmond had 6 and Fitzroy and Footscray (now western Bulldogs) had seven.

Answer: 38

4 from Carlton Blues in 1982, 5 from Hawthorn Hawks in 1983, 3 from Essendon Bombers in 1984, (there was no team in 1985), 6 from Hawthorn in 1986, 4 from Carlton in 1987, 6 from Hawthorn in 1988, 4 from Hawthorn again in 1989 and 6 from Collingwood Magpies in 1990.
10. Which one of these players made the VFL Team of the Year once?

Answer: Wayne Johnston

Strangely enough the 'Dominator' from Carlton only made the team once, in 1987. Terry Wallace made it twice in 1982 and 1983 for Hawthorn, Justin Madden from Carlton made it in 1986 and 1987, and Rod Ashman also from Carlton made it in 1982 and 1984.
