1.1 and 1.2 - "Roseanne" First Two Episodes Quiz

In the one and only appearance of little Sal Barone, DJ whined about a knot in his shoelace. So, Roseanne said to wear loafers instead.

A little bit later on, DJ tells Dan that pie would make a good breakfast. Roseanne looks at Dan and says "tell him no".

Miss Crane was the History teacher. Roseanne had to get off work early to meet her. When asked, Booker would only give Roseanne a half hour and take it out of her check. Roseanne was late, by 15 minutes, and told Miss Crane she left an hour early, but was stuck in traffic. Miss Crane wanted to reschedule in order to go play squash.
Judy Prescott played Miss Crane. She went on to guest star on "21 Jumpstreet", "Caroline in the City", "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air", and "Six Feet Under".

Dan was highly impressed with Josephine's ability to balance her shoe on the end of her toes. It held him captivated. Roseanne had guessed he'd pick Beth Winchester, but in the next few episodes we find out about the infamous Phyllis Zimmer. When we finally see Phyllis, years later, she is played by actress Vicky Lawrence of "Mama's Family" fame.

There is a real Josephine Carter, and she is a playwright.

Dan grabs a huge can of corn to prepare for that night's meal, but had trouble opening it with a handheld can opener. Dan also mentions he'd recently done the dishes. He said it was Thursday, 6:45 p.m. Roseanne quips back with "1970 what?"

Becky becomes slightly hysterical and announces that Darlene cut her finger off. This stops her parents from fighting in order to mend Darlene. Becky hysterically adds that she needs to go to the E.R. and have a tourniquet placed on her finger. In episodes to come, Becky never displays theatrics to that degree.

He tells her to picture a pretty flower, in a meadow, with sun beaming down on it. She cannot picture it, so Roseanne reminds her of their attending the demolition derby. Dan quickly gets into the act, and in no time she is all bandaged up. Later episodes show that Dan really does have a firm grasp on Darlene's tomboy personality.

Becky knows that Darlene stole the batteries for her radio, but Darlene does not admit to it at first. When she finally confesses, Dan asked her why she lied. She says that she lied because she thought she could get away with it. Darlene was bluntly honest from the start, despite the small lie.

Becky instantly thought they were rich. She wanted some designer jeans out of it. When they went over their bills together, they realized they could pay off quite a few if they did not misspend any of the money. They agree not to spend any on themselves, but Dan sneaks a bell and Roseanne a bottle of Submission perfume. DJ walks in ringing Dan's bell, but Dan was coming up with a big lie about it before that happens.

Dan called the perfume Subscription. Roseanne knew she should not have bought that perfume, but felt immensely better when she found out about Dan's whole bell buying spree.
