Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Dwayne and Ron were movers. They were wearing t-shirts with the acronym T D W S printed on them. What does this mean?

Answer: Two Dudes Who Schlep

From www.dictionary.com: Schlep (v) pull along heavily, like a heavy load against a resistance. When we first saw the boys, they were pulling someone's heavy trunk down the stairs inside Gilbert Hall.
2. Finish Ron's quote, "Absence is to love as wind is to ______".

Answer: fire

Ron said this to Millie. He was so sweet to her, and when he returned in season 2 he was no longer anything like this.
3. Whitley returned something to Denise and extended an invitation to get together in New York over the summer. What item of Denise's did Whitley give back to her?

Answer: Stapler

Whitley was sure she would be in Manhattan for the summer as an intern for "Couture" Magazine. She did not get the job after all, and was forced to return to Richmond for the summer.
4. Jaleesa told Walter that she would be spending her summer installing cable television.

Answer: False

Actually she told this to Whitley while they were both in the library. However, she did tell Walter that she installed cable television in the next season.
5. Denise agreed to a date with Dwayne on their final night of school.

Answer: True

Dwayne was so shocked that she accepted his offer he did not even have any real plans made. When he left her to her work in the library, he exclaimed, "she said yes!"
6. What was Ron's nickname for Millie?

Answer: Buttercup

He bought 'Buttercup' a bracelet, and Dwayne asked him to take it back and give him some of the money.
7. What was the name of Whitley's fictional cousin looking for work?

Answer: Adelaide

Adelaide had supposedly suffered a horrible float incident during her school's Easter Parade and wanted to leave Richmond until the scandal died down. Of course, it was really Whitley herself that was hoping to escape from Richmond, her mama, and her mama's dog.

The incorrect options were characters in the series "Roswell".
8. Who gave Dwayne the money he needed to take Denise to the Tokyo Gardens?

Answer: Whitley

Whitley felt that someone should be happy, even if she could not be. Later on that evening she did interrupt Dwayne and Denise's date.
9. Whitley mentioned her mama's dog, Titi, a couple of times in the episode. Is it true that she told Denise and Dwayne that the dog's name was short for Nefertiti?

Answer: Yes

This would not be the last time we hear about Titi. Whitley's resentment of the dog would be mentioned in future seasons as well. The real Nefertiti was the Queen in Egypt under King Akhenaton. She was also the stepmother of Tutankhamen (King Tut).
10. After their date, at the very end of the episode, what song did Denise and Dwayne dance to outside of Gilbert Hall?

Answer: Dream A Little Dream

Wayne King's version of the song was playing on the radio when Denise turned it on. She kissed him at the very end, but Dwayne would never really have his dream of Denise.
