There was a flashback which involved Hugo and he was seen sleeping in a bed but then he woke up and looked at his alarm clock. When he awoke, he looked around his room and then started to pack his suitcase. He was on the phone to someone and told the person on the other line how he needed his car.

The person told him it would be available in twenty minutes but Hurley said he could not miss his flight since it was his mom's birthday tomorrow.

Hurley got a car to drive to the airport but it was on the way there that it had mechanical problems and broke down. Hurley got out and noticed how his plane was flying into the airport and would be departing real soon. He grabbed his bags and ran through the streets for several blocks and got to the airport. He hustled through the airport and made it to his flight at the last second.

After Hurley's flashback ended where he got on his flight, he was walking through the woods with Kate and repeating the numbers he chose for his lottery ticket where he ended up a winner. Kate asked him what he was saying and Hurley said he was not really saying anything. Kate told him she thought she heard the number 23 and Hurley asked her if that number was of importance to her. Kate mentioned how the guy who called the authorities on her in Australia did it for a $23,000 reward.

Jack and Locke were walking through the jungle and holding tree branches lit with fire and Locke told him how they should not be seen walking close to each other. Jack wondered why Locke said this since, in his view, if they blew up then they blew up. Jack asked Locke why he said back in another part of the woods to let him go when something was taking Locke down a hole but Locke told him it would not have hurt him.

Midway through the second hour, we saw another flashback and Locke was in a standard wheelchair in the airport. One of the gate attendants told him that the special wheelchair Oceanic Airlines used to load disabled passengers was missing at that moment.

She mentioned how, unless they found it, they were unsure as to if they could get Locke on the plane. Locke told her how the next flight out of Sydney to Los Angeles was not until tomorrow and she informed how she knew that but there was nothing she could do.

There was one point in the episode where Danielle Rousseau got a hold of baby Aaron and it was in the next scene where Claire said her baby had been taken. Later on in the episode, we saw Claire in a depressed look down by the beach but then Charlie and Sayid came up to her and reunited her with baby Aaron. Claire was ecstatic to see her baby again.

We saw Michael and Walt sitting together while Walt played a video game, Claire was moving through the crowd to get to her seat, Jack put a piece of luggage in the overhang near Locke, and more.

There was one part of this flashback where we saw Boone sitting next to Shannon on the plane.

Near the end of the episode, we got to the raft where Jin, Michael, Walt and Sawyer were sailing out in the ocean. They fired off a flare and another boat came up beside them. The group of people on the other boat demanded they give up Walt so Sawyer got out a gun but he was shot by someone on the other boat. Jin jumped into the water to get Sawyer and the people in the other boat attacked Michael and took Walt from him.

The very final scene of the season finale showed Jack, Kate, Locke and Hurley approaching the hatch. In the previous scene, a piece of dynamite was lit and Hurley tried to put it out since he saw numbers on the side of the dynamite but Jack got him away from the impending blast. The last part of the scene showed Jack and Locke looking down the hatch.
