1.3 "Donny, We Hardly Knew Ye" Quiz

This episode opened up with a guest, at the Montecito, using a bizarre strategy to play Blackjack and Danny caught on to it, as he watched from the surveillance room. Danny said that the guest would buy $20,000 worth of chips, play a $100 worth of the chips, and then take off. Danny looked up some information, on the guest, and found his name to be Julian Kerbis. Julian had a clean record and was staying at the Montecito for two nights.

Answer: Nessa Holt

Nessa was out, by the card tables, and she noticed that a guest had been struggling to breathe and he passed out on the casino floor. She informed an employee to call paramedics and to also shut down the card tables since she felt this man collapsing could be a diversion for a robbery.

When Nessa informed a guest that the tables were being shut down, someone at a Blackjack table was upset since he had just split a pair.

While Ed was looking on, as the paramedics treated the guy who collapsed, someone introduced himself, to Ed, as Ed's cousin. Ed did not recognize the man so he said his name was Donny and that he was Ed's cousin since he was Sheila's son. Ed stated that he could not recognize Donny since Donny had lost some hair and Donny informed Ed he was staying at the Montecito. Ed offered to fix up a suite, for Donny, and Donny took him up on his offer.

Right after Donny accepted Ed's offer to fix him up a suite, Donny broke the news, to Ed, that he had just gotten engaged. Donny called over his fiancé to come meet Ed and Ed introduced his fiancée', Marie. Ed laughed since their names were Donny and Marie but he congratulated the couple on their upcoming wedding.

Answer: Stephen Tobolowsky

Tobolowsky, born on May 30th, 1951 in Dallas, Texas landed the guest starring role of Donny Rollins in this episode of "Las Vegas." This was the only episode he appeared in for the show. He also guest starred on the TV series', "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Will & Grace", and "CSI: Miami." He starred in the films, "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!", "Blind Dating", and "Memento."

Answer: Delinda Deline

After the opening credits rolled by, Sam and Danny were seen talking, as they walked outside to the pool area of the Montecito. Danny went to meet up, with Delinda, and she was in the pool at the time. Delinda got out and asked Danny if she felt they were right for each other. Danny responded that he was not sure if he could answer that question since he and Delinda were only dating for a few weeks.

Meyer was cast to play the guest starring role of Marie Kaminsky and she only appeared in this episode for "Las Vegas." Meyer also guest starred on the TV shows, "Will & Grace", "Jake in Progress", and "Friends." She also was seen in the films, "Capote", "Stuart Saves His Family", and "In the Mood."

Sam decided to go shop, at Julian's store, to get him to stay at the Montecito some more and he told her she should get a black shirt since it goes well with Las Vegas. Sam purchased the shirt, and some other clothes, and told her friend, Rita, to put it on her account. Sam gave Julian her business card and encouraged him to continue staying at the Montecito.

Sam saw Julian, at the Montecito, and told him to let her know if she could make his stay, at the Montecito, more enjoyable. Sam offered to set up Julian at a higher stakes table, in the V.I.P. section of the casino, and Julian told her he had a meeting at the Luxor. Julian offered to call Sam and Sam called Ed and told him Julian could not get out of the Montecito fast enough and that Julian had a meeting at the Luxor.

Danny went to speak to Mary, about Julian Kerbis, and he told Mary about Julian's bizarre gambling strategy (for more, see "Interesting Info" section for question one). They got to talking about Delinda and Mary told Danny to not fret so much, about his relationship with Delinda ending. Mary commented that Delinda tends to have relationships that last for three weeks but Danny and Delinda made it to four and a half weeks. Danny sarcastically thanked Mary and told her that made him feel much better.
