Answer: Head of Security

Often using his past connection and vast experience as the Director of Counter Intelligence for the CIA, Ed Deline became a valuable asset as Head of Security with the Montecito Resort and Casino. Surveillance was his specialty. During the first season, Ed was promoted to the position of President of Operations.
Ed always projected the image of the gruff, unyielding executive, a throwback from the "old days" of Las Vegas but shared a strong affinity for his staff, especially Danny and Mike whom he often referred to as his "boys" and a typical loving fatherly weakness for his daughter Delinda, the true pride of his life.
Ed Deline was played by veteran actor James Caan.

Danny McCoy, Mike Cannon, Sam Marquez, and Delinda Deline appeared in episodes for the entire five season run of the series.
Nessa Holt left the series at the end of season two, while Mary Connell departed the series at the end of season four. Ed Deline's final appearance was in the first episode of season five.
Ed's number one assistant and protege Danny McCoy was played by Josh Duhamel.

Danny was awarded the Silver Star for his service in Iraq. Danny was a reluctant recipient of the award as he felt undeserving of the honor and a degree of guilt for his actions.
The feeling of guilt stemmed from the decision Danny was forced to make during a combat engagement. During a battle, Danny called for an air strike over the position occupied by his military unit as it was being overrun by the enemy combatants. Danny emerged from the battle as the sole survivor.
When his good friend Detective Luis Perez was later killed in action in Iraq months later, Danny placed the medal on Luis' coffin during his funeral service.
Parking Valet and later Surveillance and Security Expert Mike Cannon was played by James Lesure.

Answer: The Amazing Johnathan

Master Las Vegas magician and comic The Amazing Johnathan was never featured on the series.
In the season three episode, "Bold, Beautiful, and Blue", Delinda mentions to magician Criss Angel during his cameo appearance that she once worked as a magician's assistant for The Amazing Roger, possible a reference to The Amazing Johnathan.
The magic team of Penn and Teller appeared in a cameo appearance during the season one episode, "Luck be a lady".
Famed Las Vegas icon Wayne Newton made cameo appearances during season one in the episode "Pros and Cons", during season three in the episode "Coyote Ugly" and in season four in the episode "Meatball Montecito".
Special Events Director and later Hotel Manager Mary Connell was played by Nikki Cox.

Answer: Ed Deline

Big Ed Deline ran the Montecito Resort and Casino for the first four seasons of the series, but was never an owner of the property.
Gavin Brunson (James McDaniel) was reportedly one of the richest men in the world purchased the Montecito Resort and Casino because he enjoyed his stay there as a guest, and didn't want to leave when he was asked to do so. One of his first actions as the new owner was to retain the entire staff and make Ed Deline the President of Operations.
Billionaire businessman Casey Manning (Dean Cain) purchased the Montecito from the Foundation of the Blind after convincing them that they might find it difficult to manage the day to day activity of the resort casino complex.
With the sudden and unexpected death of Casey in a water related mishap, his former wife Sam inherited the Montecito. Sam owned the complex for one week before having to give up ownership to satisfy a huge back tax bill.
Other Montecito owners have included Monica Mancuso (Lara Flynn Boyle) the widow of a billionaire, who purchased the hotel from Brunson. After her sudden death, the resort and casino was left to the Foundation for the Blind in her Last Will and Testament.
When Sam was unable to come up with the funds to pay the back taxes, a mystery billionaire oil tycoon and Wyoming Rancher named A.J. Cooper (Tom Selleck) became the owner after paying off the back taxes.
The number one Casino Host in Las Vegas, Samantha Jane "Sam" Marquez was played by Vanessa Marcil.

Answer: Mike Cannon

In the final scene of the season one finale episode "Always Faithful", Mike Cannon is seen driving Danny, who was in his military uniform, through the streets of Las Vegas en route to the airport. Danny's final words in the scene (as he admired the pre-dawn sights of the city) were "God, I love this town."
Ed's sometimes mischievous but always alluring daughter Delinda was played by former "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue" fashion model Molly Sims.

Answer: flushed down the toilet

As she requested in her Last Will and Testament, her ashes were flushed down the toilet of the plush suite in the Montecito in which she once resided. Ed Deline, who she named as executor of her Will, along with Mary Connell, Sam Marquez, and Delinda Deline were present for the final "ceremony". Also present was Norma Pitts (Sara Ann Morris) a young lady that Monica befriended when they both worked as waitresses years earlier. Monica also bequeathed to Norma the sum of one million dollars. Following a few words around the commode, Norma poured the ashes into the basin, and the scene ended as the ashes swirled and then disappeared following the final flush. The highly trained casino Pit Boss, also known as "The Ice Queen" Nessa Holt was played by Marsha Thomason.

Answer: Sam and Casey decided to give their marriage a second chance

Sam and Casey remained cordial, but Sam never considered trying to renew the marriage, much to the disappointment of Casey. It wasn't until the final episode of the series that Sam admitted to Delinda and Piper that she was marrying Casey's little brother because he reminded her of Casey, whom she still loved.
During a final celebration party before the Montecito was to be imploded and remodeled, while watching Gladys Knight and the Pips perform, Danny was approached by LVPD Detective Jenny Cho and informed that his father had been the victim of a fatal traffic accident while driving to the Montecito to me him.
Mike Cannon accept an offer from his Aunt Gladys and agreed to tour with her as one of the back-ground performers for her group, "Gladys Knight and the Pips".
Nessa was last seen on a plane, leaving Las Vegas to find the sister she had just found out about. As she peered out of the planes window of the departing jet, Delinda could be seen seated next to her. Delinda and Nessa had been raised together as sisters by Ed and Jillian Deline. The scene ended with Ed's rushing through the airport terminal trying to reach the plane before it departed. Ed was unsuccessful.
Ed Deline's lovely wife Jillian was played by former "Charlie's Angels" star
Cheryl Ladd.

Answer: she fainted

Sam was shocked to see that "whale" was her former husband Casey Manning. For much of the episode, Sam went to great lengths to avoid seeing Casey. At one point, she disguised herself as a patient recovering from a face-lift to hide her identity.
Sam Marquez's one time husband and former owner of the Montecito Casey Manning was played by former title star of the 1993 TV series "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" Dean Cain.

Answer: Mary Connell

In the sixth episode of the season, "The Real McCoy", Mary agreed to return to the Montecito following an impromptu meeting with Ed Deline on the casino floor. Mary accepted the position of Hotel Manager.
Delinda agreed to return to manage "Mystique Nightclub" in the Montecito during episode four, "Whatever Happened to Seymour McGoon?" Sam and Mike agreed to return in the first episode of the season, "Viva Las Vegas."
