Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Whose quote was, "May they rot in hell", just as the episode opened?

Answer: Roseanne

Dan had been shorted 25 pieces of lumber from an order he'd placed. That was her response to his complaining. He had the receipt for the 2x4s he'd ordered, so he wasn't worried.
2. Did Dan agree to enter the radio song writing contest?

Answer: Yes

The winning prize was $100 and they'd play the song on the radio. Roseanne told Dan he could no longer deprive the word of his special talent. He ended up choosing to record one of Roseanne's old poems.
3. "You know, you have an attitude problem." Who did Booker say this to?

Answer: Jackie

Jackie: "I do?"
Booker: "I would suggest we work on it somewhere outside of the workplace."
Jackie: "Where would you suggest? The backseat of your car?"
Booker: "Nah, no. I was thinking more along the lines of my apartment."
Jackie: "There is no way I'm gonna end up a notch on your bedpost."
Booker: "I'm not coming on to you, do you think I'm coming on to you?"
Jackie: "It crossed my mind."
4. At Wellman's, Crystal recounted her own hardship story to the ladies at lunch. How old did she say she was when her parents kicked her out of their house?

Answer: 16

She said she moved in with her crazy Aunt Ida who had a house full of cats. Then she got married when she was 17 and became a widow at 18. After that, a tornado took her car away, and she was put in the hospital with pneumonia. Finally, Roseanne used comedy to shut her up.
5. Which of DJ's little toys had to be repaired by Roseanne?

Answer: truck

His truck lost a wheel and Dan was busy working on a song for the radio contest. Roseanne fixed the toy while the two lamented over his fighting sisters.
6. It turned out that Becky and Darlene were fighting about their bedroom. Why did Becky NOT want to live in it with her sister anymore?

Answer: Darlene was a slob

Darlene told her sister that she used to be almost normal, and Becky responded with, "Yeah until you were born". She went on to say that she'd tried to convince their parents to leave Darlene at the hospital when she was born.
7. Who killed a cockroach at Wellman's?

Answer: Roseanne

Crystal and Jackie were too scared to take charge, so Roseanne went ahead and smashed it. Booker bent over to pick up something he'd dropped, causing the ladies to all hoot. This prompted him to call Jackie into his office for a private meeting. She came back out and told the room that Booker had given her his phone number.
8. How many entries did the "Phil and Dave" show get on their song writing contest?

Answer: Four

They had three places to offer and four total entries. Dan and Roseanne's entry did not make the top three. Third place was two tickets to the annual Lanford tractor pull, and second place was dinner for two at the Lanford Inn.
9. Did Dan sing a song for his family at the end?

Answer: Yes

The kids felt bad about their parents losing the contest, so they asked their dad to sing the song for them. He played his guitar and sang the song, while his family watched, danced goofy and Roseanne held up a lighter.
10. Over the closing credits, the girls and their parents were looking at old personal items. Which item did Darlene pull out and ask her mom to keep?

Answer: Roseanne's mood ring

Becky pulled out a peace symbol earring and she wanted to keep it. The other earring like it had been lost during a protest march. Roseanne let the girls keep what they wanted since they had not been fighting in the last 24 hours.
