Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Gerald Johanssen, Helga Pataki, Harold Berman

Answer: Hey Arnold!

"Hey Arnold" debuted in 1996 and ran for 100 episodes. It centers around Arnold Shortman, a 9 year old boy and follows his day to day life at school, home, and recreational activities.
2. Bobby Budnick, Kevin "Ug" Lee, Donkeylips

Answer: Salute Your Shorts

This is one of my favorite Nick shows. It is about a group of kids who attend Camp Anawanna, a summer camp, and tend to get in a lot of mischief including many run-ins with their counselor, Ug Lee.
3. Heffer Wolfe, Filburt Shellbach, Ed Bighead

Answer: Rocko's Modern Life

This show ran on Nick from 1993-96, and features Rocko, an Australian wallaby who lives in the city of O-Town. It consists of many satirical material and adult humor. I like it even more now that I'm older.
4. Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster, Spike

Answer: Rugrats

"Rugrats" was my favorite Nicktoon growing up. It is about a group of toddlers, led by Tommy Pickles, who are able to communicate with each other, and run in to various adventures, oftentimes thwarted by Tommy's older cousin, Angelica.
5. Patti Mayonnaise, Roger Klotz, Skeeter Valentine

Answer: Doug

"Doug" premiered in 1991 and centers around the life of Doug Funnie, a pre-teen boy who lives in the city of Bluffington, and his day to day activities, which he details in his journal. He has a dog named Porkchop who is smarter than what you typically expect a dog to be, and helps Doug be more assertive and brave at times when he's insecure.
6. Mo Quirk, Mike O'Malley, The Agro Crag

Answer: Guts

OK, so the Agro Crag isn't really a character, but it is featured in the final round of the show. "Guts" was a competitive sports game show that first aired in 1992. It featured three contestants who competed in various athletic events. At the end, each won a medal for their performance -- bronze, silver, or gold. It was hosted by O'Malley, and officiated by Mo.
7. Detective Dan, Pierre Escargot, Coach Kreeton

Answer: All That

This was a sketch comedy show; it was kind of like "Saturday Night Live", but for kids. I really liked this show when I was 10, but watching it today leaves much to be desired. I did like many of Kel Mitchell's characters, including Coach Kreeton.
8. Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm

Answer: Aaahh! Real Monsters

This show debuted in 1994 and was about three monsters who live in New York City. They go around the town and try to scare people, which is pretty easy given how scary they appear. I wasn't a big fan of the show when it was on the air, but I have more appreciation of it now.
9. Artie, Petunia, Joyce Wrigley

Answer: The Adventures of Pete & Pete

This was a rather odd, but entertaining comedy about the lives of brothers, Big Pete and Little Pete Wrigley. Little Pete has a tattoo of a girl named "Petunia" on his arm and he is friends with "the Strongest Man in the World" Artie. One of my favorites growing up, it took place in the town of Wellsville and aired from 1991-96.
10. Norbert, Daggett, Stump

Answer: The Angry Beavers

This show debuted in 1997 and features two beaver brothers, Norbert and Daggett, who moved out of their parents' house to a home of their own. The show is set in Wayouttatown, Oregon and ran for 62 episodes. I remember loving it as a kid, but I haven't watched it in many years.
