Dana loses her cancer battle alone, at the hospital, while Alice takes a walk, after having spent five days next to her bedside. In order to add a little more drama to the moment, we get to have a look at what the other characters are doing while Dana takes her last breath. Shane and Carmen are in bed together; Jenny and Max are discussing the apparent happiness of Tim's marriage; Tina is enjoying lunch with her new friends; Angus explains to Kit the real reason of her over-concern with him; Alice is coming back inside the hospital; and Bette sits on a bus, returning from her retreat, while having a the strange feeling that somewhere, something is going on.

With Dana's death, Erin Daniels' participation in the drama series comes to an end. Daniels appears on the next chapter only as part of each of the girls' reminiscences.
