Once they all got there, Locke told Sawyer that he wanted him to keep an eye on the survivors of a recent plane crash.

In a flash forward scene, Sawyer was making love with a woman and then informed her he had to go to a meeting. When he got up to get dressed, a briefcase full of money spilled open and Sawyer told the woman she was not supposed to have seen that happen.

The woman grabbed a gun and held Sawyer at gunpoint. Sawyer told her he was a cop but she did not believe him and he informed her there were a number of police officers outside ready to arrest her. As soon as Sawyer said the word, "LaFleur", the officers burst into the apartment and arrested the woman.
