7.35 "The Future of Beavis and Butt-head" Quiz

The episode began with the duo in a guidance counselor's office and his name was on the door: Dick Gaylord. The duo was there to discuss their futures since they realized that they were almost complete with school. Mr. Gaylord spent the entire episode trying to inspire the boys to do something meaningful with their existences.

The guidance counselor first brought up how he was there to entice the boys into a meaningful career. He stated how this seemed to be a job in and of itself so he wanted them to share what some of their hobbies were. Butt-head first spoke about how he would enjoy making love to various women.

The counselor informed both boys that women were just a small aspect to life but they both emphatically talked about how pertinent they really were. He then asked the men what they enjoyed doing after school. Butt-head mentioned his appetite for watching videos, leading to the counselor asking them if they thought of working in a video store.

Butt-head said how he did not care to own a video store but then had a daydream. In the dream, he had a big video store with his name adorned on the side and he ran all operations. This was a rather short daydream, considering how Butt-head was seen for a few seconds in front of a cash register.

The counselor took Butt-head's changing his mind as an indication he might pursue a business ownership career.

The counselor moved on to Beavis and noted that he had a job working at Burger World. After congratulating him on this, he then asked Beavis to name him which duties there he truly enjoyed. Beavis responded on how all the duties satisfied him but it was clear based on his response that he did not fully understand the question.

Beavis also said he liked duties which took a long time so the counselor said how great that sounded and that he enjoyed assignments where he could sink his teeth into them. Both boys took this literally and claimed the guy was being disgusting. The counselor moved on and asked Beavis if he would consider a construction job.

Beavis started to daydream about a job where he would be working in construction. For the dream, he was atop a crane while being right near Highland High School. While operating the crane, Beavis went haywire and ended up smashing something into the school, causing an entire mess.

Beavis continued to mistreat the crane in his daydream and Principal McVicker went outside to see what ruckus had ensued. He could not believe Beavis operated a crane so he advised him to stop it now. Beavis simply yelled at him to get out of the way since he wanted to smash it all the way towards the ground.

Beavis kept getting hyper excited on the construction possibility so the counselor asked him to settle down as they pondered additional options. He then turned to Butt-head and pushed for other ventures. Butt-head could not arrive at one so he wondered if being in a retail based job would suit Butt-head.

Butt-head asked if being in sales or retail involved going on television so the counselor remarked how he could sell merchandise on the tube. Butt-head got all excited and went onto another daydream. In this one, he mentioned not being able to land women but then was able to succeed on that front after drinking some beer. He then placed a six pack out on the table.
