"All My Children" Turns 35 Trivia Quiz

There were a couple of returns for the show's commemorating their 35th year on the air but Ellen Dalton, last played by Kathleen Noone, did not return. However, Ellen's husband, Mark Dalton, did return to ring in the show's 35th anniversary. Mark came back to town to visit Kendall, Erica, and Bianca and to meet Miranda, his great niece.

A big focus of this episode surrounded Joe Martin celebrating his 35th year of being employed at Pine Valley Hospital as a doctor of internal medicine. To talk about this occasion, a woman named Agnes Eckhardt (played by Agnes Nixon) gave a speech about how she hired him. Agnes was on the Board of Directors and personally recommended he move from California to work at the hospital.

Bianca was in her hospital room, recovering from the fall she sustained in Florida, and Anita was already in there so there was a knock at the door. Adam happened to be there and he asked Bianca if that was a good time. Adam said he was there to discuss JR's son.

Jamie and Babe were on the run, in this episode, since they located Babe's son, Adam Chandler III (eventually to be known as Little Adam). Jamie and Babe knew both Adam and JR would have the authorities on them so they donned some disguises. Jamie also got him and Babe fake IDs.

Adam came in to talk to Bianca about JR's son, who they believed was dead, and he mentioned how JR was broken. Bianca commented how nobody wanted JR hurt. This is when Adam asked her if she knew where Babe was since he believed she should pay for all she did in keeping Miranda from Bianca. Bianca replied that she had no clue where Babe was.

JR asked Brooke to come over to Chandler Mansion so they can discuss some business. JR informed her how he did not have a good Christmas with his son being dead (he would learn his son was alive). Brooke interrupted JR and said she knew he did not call her over so they can commiserate the holidays together.

This is when JR told her to persuade Jamie to not continue to help Babe evade the law for all the crimes she committed.

Erica gave a speech on Joe Martin to celebrate his 35 years at Pine Valley Hospital and it was in the middle of her speech that Agnes Eckhardt made her way to the podium. Joe hugged Agnes and told her it was wonderful to see her again. Opal wondered who she was and if perhaps Ruth, Joe's wife, should be worried.

Agnes got done talking about Joe Martin and so she went to go talk to some of the other Pine Valley citizens. While she did so, we saw Lily with Aidan and he let her know to just remind him if he wanted to find her father for her. Lily replied how Jack was busy and she enjoyed being with him. Aidan asked Lily if she was sure she was alright since there were a lot of people and plenty of noise but Lily assured him she was okay.

Joe saw Ryan and Greenlee at the hospital and commented how good it was to be joined by the younger generation. Ryan commented how Joe did so much for the hospital and he would never miss it. This is when Greenlee chimed in and told Joe she was studying him and Ruth to figure out how to make a marriage last for years, as Joe and Ruth at that point had been married for at least 30 years.

The show revealed a montage of clips from its past 35 years and included moments going all the way back from the early 1970s to the previous year of 2004. However, one clip they did not show in the montage was the jaw dropping moment when Helga revealed Angelique, Dimitri's wife, was alive at Dimitri and Natalie's engagement party.
