Fred: "Sometimes, maybe. But it's not like he doesn't have anyone. We all... we try to be there for each other."
Nina: "Like a family."
Fred: "Yeah. A demon-hunting, helpless-helping, dysfunctional family."

In "Offspring" Darla returns to inform Angel he is going to be a daddy.
Angel: "It wasn't like that. It just - happened. It wasn't like I went *evil* or anything, I just..."
Cordelia: "You just went male. (to Darla, sympathetic) Have you been to a doctor."

Darla: "No. But I have been to every shaman and seer in the Western Hemisphere."

Wesley: "And what did they say?"

Darla: "They don't know what it is. They don't know what it means. Nothing like this has ever happened."

Angel: "Maybe it's an hysterical pregnancy."

Darla: "You wanna feel it kick?"

Cordelia: "Does it kick a lot?"

Darla: "Like crazy."

Angel: "well, now wouldn't that be the first sign of... (Cordy gives him a look) ...hysteria?"

Cordelia: "What can we do for you?"

Darla: "Well, you can get your little gang of supernatural detectives to find out what the hell is happening to me and how to stop it."

Cordelia: "Are you gonna take some responsibility here? (Looks up at Angel) Angel?"

Angel: "Oh, me? - Of course I am. - Wes, lets get on this right now."

Wesley: "What do you suggest?"

Angel: "I suggest you use your books and find out what's going on. What, do I have to think of everything?"

(Wes picks up a book from the counter and opens it.)

Wesley: "Oh, here it is. (sarcastic) It says 'I have absolutely no idea what's going on.' (Closes the book) We should talk to the host."

In the episode "Salvage", Wesley seeks Faith's help with Angelus and the Beast. Angelus: "Look, you may have played those suckers at Angel, Inc., but I don't like having my strings yanked, and I don't like being kept in the dark... Figuratively, anyway. And if your boss was half as smart as he thinks he is, he knows I won't take orders from a lackey. What? You don't like lackey? Hmm. Or how about, uh, toady? Or lickspittle? Lickspittle's nice. Oh, wait, I got it. Flunky. That's it. You're just a big, stupid, butt-ugly, (the Beast lunges at Angelus who ducks) slow-moving flunky. (the Beast swings at Angelus, but misses) Ah, come on, Rocky. (Angelus jumps up into the rafters with one swift move, then turns to the Beast) When the Beastmaster's ready to peek out from behind your skirt, have him give me a call. (leaves the building)"

Gunn: "Damn straight! If Team Angel hadn't shown up with a little clobbering time, Wolfram and Hart would've nabbed her" Faith called Angel Investigations "Team Angel" in "Salvage". In "Salvage", Wesley seeks Faith's help with Angelus and the Beast. Faith: "Seen the news, sure. Never-ending night, rain of fire. Team Angel must really have their hands full."

In the episode "Spin the Bottle", A spell to get Cordy's memory back causes the whole gang to revert to their teenage personalities. Lorne: "Well, those were some exciting products. Am I right? Mmm. They could have been doin' Heaven knows what. I can just see myself lying on a table-no clothes, no will-while they probed and explored and did whatever they wanted to my naked, helpless body. (Wes's dagger accidentally shoots out of his forearm) It's horrible."

Wesley: "Horrible. Yes. But I assure you, this is demonic work. And they're not nearly so exploratory as Don't be afraid."

Gunn: "Ain't nuttin here. 'S gettin' old."

Wesley: "Well, let's not give up probe. (beat) Hope. Give up hope. We're not-"

This happens in "Spin the Bottle".
Wesley: "What's your name?"

Cordelia: "I'm Cordelia Chase. And if this is some sort of sophomore hazing prank where I get doped up and left with a bunch of proto-losers, then my parents are gonna be suing the entire population of Sunnydale. Comprendez?"
Gunn: "What the hell are you talking about?"

Cordelia: "It's called kidnapping a minor, hair club for men. And if you think for a second I'm gonna be putting up with this, well, you don't know Cordelia- (Angel walks in the room) Cordelia... Hello, salty goodness."

I'm at the club last night. Fairly typical Wednesday crowd. A Torto demon and his parasite were *murdering* the Everly Brothers."


Lorne: "... which is nothing compared to what Elian had done to my sea-breeze!"

In the episode "Belonging" Angel and company pursues a Drokken with the aid of Lorne's cousin Landok.
Gunn: "Okay, then it-slash-he points us to the big bloated thing you saw in your vision."

Wesley: "The Hacklar demon. In fact, the informant will lead us to the demon's feeding grounds where we manly men will gather 'round and kill it to death."

Cordelia: "Ooh, sounds like fun. If you guys want more wine, don't let me stop you."

Angel: "Oh, no. No more wine for me. That imported stuff goes right to your head."

Gunn: "You think we should get a flamethrower?"

Wesley: "For the Hacklar? I hadn't thought of that."

Angel: "I mean, if you guys want to order another bottle."

Gunn: "Of course, if we wound up in a tight space we could burn each other."

Wesley: "Right. Right."

Gunn: "Well, you're the boss. You'll decide."

In the episode "Conviction" a Wolfram & Hart client threatens to destroy California if he's convicted of his crimes by a court. Fred: "I don't even understand half of what they're doing. There's this machine, 6 feet tall, it makes this noise- whoompa! Whoompa! Phht! Not a clue."

Wesley: "Well, I'm still stuck back at... Why on earth are we here?"

Fred: "What, because we're crusaders against evil and now the law firm that represents most of the evil in the world has given us its L.A. branch to run however we want, probably in an attempt to corrupt, divide, or destroy us, and we all said yes in, like, 3 minutes?"

Wesley: "Your run-on sentences have got a lot less pointless."

Fred: "Oh, that's so sweet. And a tad condescending."

In the episode "Over the Rainbow" Angel, Wesley and Gunn follow Cordelia to Pylea.
Lorne: "Constable Narwek. Lovely to see you again. So, how've you been?"

Narwek: "Krevlorneswath of the Deathwok clan, you have returned. - Why?"

Lorne: "Actually I've been asking myself that very same question."

Narwek: "Who are these cow-scum. You are all dressed - very strangely."

Lorne: "They're not cow-scum. They're humans and they're my friends."

Narwek: "Cows are not friends. They are creatures of labor. Beasts of burden, no more! I do not know where you have been, Krevlorneswath of the Deathwok clan, but it is *clear* that you have abandoned the teachings of your people. (To some of the bucket-helmeted Warriors that accompanied him) Take him away. We will begin interrogations immediately."

In the episode "City Of" Angel begins his mission in Los Angeles. Cordelia: "Well, Doyle filled me in on your little mission. So I was just saying, that if we're going to be helping people out, maybe a small charge. A fee. You know, something to help pay the rent, and my salary. You need someone to organize things, and you're not exactly rolling in it Mr. I-was-alive-for-200-years-and-never-developed-an-investment-portfolio."

Angel: "You want to charge people?"

Cordelia: "Well, not everybody. But sooner or later we are gonna have to help some rich people, right? (to Doyle) Right?"

Doyle: "Possibly, yeah."

Cordelia: "Hand me that box. So I figure that we should charge based on a case-by-case analysis, but with me working for a flat fee. I mean, um...that is, if... you think that you can use me? (he smiles, hands her the box) Of course this is just temporary - until my inevitable stardom takes affect."

Doyle: "You made a good choice. She'll provide a connection to the world. She's got a very - humanizing influence."

Angel: "You think she's a hottie."

Doyle: "Ah, yeah, she's a stiffener alright, I can't lie about that. But, you know, she could use a hand."

Angel: "True."

Doyle: "You know there's a lot of people in this city need helpin'."

Angel: "Hmm. So I noticed."

Doyle: "You game?"

Angel: "I'm game."

Cordelia introduces the calling/business cards in "Lonely Hearts". Cordelia: "They're finally in."

Doyle: "They're in."

Angel: "Okay...?"

Cordelia: "Your cards."

Doyle: "The cards."

Cordelia: "Your calling cards to leave with people so they know how to reach you."

Doyle: "Great idea! Calling cards. It's not like you have a signal folks can shine in the sky when ever they need help, you know?"

Angel: "Hey, look at that, there is our number. It's right next to a...a, um...a-a butterfly?"

Doyle: "It's obviously not a butterfly, you idiot. It's a-a bird. No, no, wait, it's an owl. A-a bird that hunts at night. Brilliant! It's a-a..."

Cordelia: "It's an angel!"

Angel: "An angel. Right. It's an angel!"
