In the episode "The High Road to China," Drew pulled a joke on Mimi that included her getting hit in the face with a pie. In order to get revenge, Mimi drugged Drew and sent him to China. He was left with no money or passport. While walking down the streets of China, a woman sitting on a bench showed him where a McDonald's was located.

He had no money and had to beg for help and a meal.
