quiz
Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Under what name does Lucille book her and George Michael's Motherboy XXX hotel room?

Answer: Karmopolis

She uses the name "Karmopolis" when George Michael suggests letting his father know they are at Motherboy.
2. What is the name of the actor in "Tricks Around the Office"?

Answer: Ron Michaelson

Michael thinks that Ron is an investor- Ron votes against him over a building renovation.

"Tricks Around the Office" is the magic video GOB tries to film. It, unsurprisingly, involves him doing tricks around the office. These tricks include turning 10:45 in the morning into lunchtime (although GOB only changes the clock by about 15 minutes), and trying to do a trick involving a bird when asked by Ron why lunch has to be so dull. Another trick involved cutting a security guard's tie in half.
3. What was the name of the supplement Lindsay and Tobias were hocking before the F.D.A. shut them down?

Answer: Teamocil

Dr. Funke's 100% Natural Good-Time Family-Band Solution sang about it. Teamocil promises better unity and teamwork- it also comes with a range of side effects.

Fen-Phen (or Fun-Fun as Mrs. Featherbottom mistakenly calls it) is an anoretic, which it seems from the episode "The Immaculate Election" Lindsay takes. It has also been, as Maeby says, banned by the F.D.A. (it causes heart problems.)

Forget-Me-Nows are roofies used in season 3. After the family beat and drug Rita GOB tries to force Michael to take a Forget-Me-Now saying "Take this and love us again!"
4. In the episode "Hand to God", which show is Ann trying to get taken off the air?

Answer: "Nip/Tuck"

Michael asks "They don't like "Nip/Tuck"?" and George Michael answers "Well, y'know, they don't like anything."

Ann and George Michael are shown picketing "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry's house in the episode "The Righteous Brothers".
5. Where is Mrs. Featherbottom from?

Answer: Blackstool

In "The Immaculate Election" Lindsay introduces Mrs Featherbottom to Michael and Featherbottom adds "From Blackstool. I'm charmed I'm sure."
"Blackstool" is not actually a real place in Britain, but a medical condition.

Although the DVD subtitles say "Blackstone" Tobias quite clearly says Blackstool, and it is also mentioned again in the episode "Meat the Veals".
6. Who is Jack Dorso?

Answer: A friend of George Sr.'s father

Jack Dorso appears in the episode "Ready, Aim, Marry Me". Although he is called "Uncle Jack" by George Sr. he is not actually a blood relative, just a friend of George Sr.'s father.
The Bluths get in touch with Jack because the company needs money.
7. Which show used to be filmed up at Shady Pines?

Answer: "Sugarfoot"

Cal Cullen mentions this to Michael, and when Michael lies about liking the show (which was taken off the air 12 years before he was born) gets him to sing the theme tune.

"Girls with Low Self-Esteem" is the bestselling video series filmed by Phillip Litt at Spring Break.

"Scandlemakers" is the show which re-enacts headline grabbing stories. Tobias signed away the life rights of his family to appear as George Sr. in the episode about the Bluths.

"Wrench" is the show about rule abiding cop Frank Wrench played by Moses Taylor. (Tobias lived on the set of this show when Lindsay kicked him out of the model home.)
8. What percent of the vote for Student Body President did Michael receive?

Answer: 2%

In "The Immaculate Election" while discussing George Michael's election campaign GOB says to Michael "Uh, good point two-percent." to which Michael replies "Two-percent, huh, that how little I lost by?", and GOB says "Lost by? That's all you got."

When Michael is asked by Ann whether he was Student Body President he pretends not to remember, but then recalls that the other guy won the title- although, according to Michael, many wanted to overturn the decision.
9. When driving the staircar, why do you have to slam on the brake almost immediately after getting up to a minimum speed?

Answer: Because you've got two tons of stairs behind you

Michael explains this in the episode "Sword of Destiny" when teaching George Michael how to drive (or more accurately- making George Michael watch him drive.)

Though the staircar does have the other problems, as Michael says to George Sr. in the episode "Queen for a Day" "I pull down banners, I get Hop-ons." and he says he has to get an early start because he's expecting headwinds.
10. Which doctor gave a Never Nude seminar on chafing?

Answer: Dr. Shoenweiss

Spoken about by Phillip Litt and Tobias in the episode "Spring Breakout".

Dr. Stein appears in the episode "Sword of Destiny" and tries to remove Michael's appendix, cut out an abscess, leaves snippers in him, shortens his calf muscles, and re-attaches GOB's fingers- middle and index finger switched for the first time ever.

Dr. Fishman is the doctor who is a "very literal man" - "He's going to be all right." "We lost him." "You look hot." "It looks like he's dead."

Dr. Blumen is the name Michael uses in the episode "The One Where Michael Leaves" when he calls the house to check if the family realise he and George Michael have left for Phoenix, Arizona.
