1. Semi-Final One: Which three Idols made it into the finals from the first semi-final?

Answer: Courtney, Hayley and Chanel

Courtney Murphy from Western Australia was the first contestant through to the finals with his rendition of "She Will Be Loved". He was closely followed into the finals by Canberra's Hayley Jensen, who sang "Angel" beautifully. Last from this round to get into the finals was Chanel Cole from Bega, who sang one of her favourite songs, "Glory Box".
2. Semi-Final Two: Advancing to the finals from this semi-final were which three contestants?

Answer: Angie, Daniel and Amali

Angie Narayan from Brisbane was through to the finals with her soulful version of "Chain Of Fools". Also through was Daniel Belle who sparked conflict between himself and Ian "Dicko" Dickson after his rendition of Robbie Williams' "Rock DJ" while Tasmania's Amali Ward sang "Some Kind of Wonderful".
3. Which three contestants from Semi-Final Three proceeded into the finals?

Answer: Dan, Casey and Ricki-Lee

Dan O'Connor, from NSW, won his way into the finals with his rendition of "Amazing" while Gold Coast resident Ricki-Lee Coulter sang "Can't Get Enough of Your Love". The other member of this group making their way into the finals was Sydney's Casey Donovan, who, after her version of "Here Where I Stand", received the competition's first Touchdown from Mark Holden.
4. Wilcard Show: Which three Idols made it into the finals on their second chance?

Answer: Emelia, Anthony and Marty

Back for their second chance at the finals, the Idols certainly turned on a show. The first contestant to go through to the finals was Melbourne boy Anthony Callea who sang "The Reason". The second of the performers was Emelia Rusciano from Adelaide who had sung "If I Ain't Got You".

The final of all semi-finalists to make it to the next round was Victoria's Marty Worrall, in appreciation for his rendition of "Somewhere Only We Know".

Ricki-Lee was a shock exit with many viewers believing her to be the favourite to win the competition.
Courtney's "Got To Get You Into My Life" and Chanel's "Across the Universe" were the stand-out performances of the night.
11. Eighties: Which exuberant singer departed the contest after Eighties night?

Answer: Marty Worrall

Marty sang "The Power of Love" but unfortunately it wasn't enough to keep him in the competition.
Stand-out performances this week were Chanel's "Stop", Hayley's "I Feel The Earth Move" and Anthony's "I Want To Know What Love Is".
12. R&B: After 'R&B' night, which contestant did Australia give the least amount of votes to?

Chanel Cole was the fifth-last Idol, thus, in a way, making her Chanel No 5!
The highlights of this show were Hayley's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and Anthony's "Back At One".
13. Big Band: Which friendly singer left on the Big Band night?

Answer: Hayley Jensen

Hayley sang her two songs- "It Had To Be You" and "Nature Boy"- brilliantly but sadly, it was time for her to go.
All of the contestants had at least one star moment on this show. Hayley shone with "It Had To Be You", Courtney with "Don't Get Around Much Anymore", Casey with "Come Fly With Me" and Anthony with "Route 66".
14. Seventies: Following the last themed night of the series, which contestant left the show?

Answer: Courtney Murphy

Perth's Courtney Murphy sang "Somebody To Love" and "My Love".
All contestants had stand-out performances this round, with each of them receiving Touchdowns. Courtney received his for "Somebody To Love", Casey for "You're So Vain" and Anthony for "Bridge Over Troubled Water".

Answer: Casey Donovan first, Anthony Callea runner-up

16 year old Casey Donovan is Australia's first female Idol. Despite the fact I was going for Anthony, I think she'll do a great job and her debut single, "Listen With Your Heart" sounds beautiful.
